I love restaurant weddings, and this sweet Michael’s on Naples Intimate Wedding is no exception!! It’s a restaurant in Long Beach with the absolute best food menu and a beautiful rooftop that is easily set up for events.
This was an interesting wedding. For the most part, I believe everything happens for a reason. I was invited to second-shoot pretty much last minute. I was going to do a shoot early this morning but my couple cancelled last minute, so I tagged along for this beautiful intimate wedding!! Little did I know that it was my COUSIN’S wedding! How hilarious is that? (I have a lot of cousins I’ve never met). I didn’t realize this was the case until we got to the venue, Michael’s on Naples Ristorante, and realized the groom has my last name (it was written on the menu) hahaha and I looked twice and then told my primary shooter, hey, I’m pretty sure we’re related and it turned out we were. It turned out he knows my dad pretty well actually and had spoken to him a few days prior. How freaking funny.
Michael’s on Naples Wedding Ceremony
Anyway!!! This was a very small and intimate wedding. I’m talking about 35-40 peeps!! Ask me how much worry and anxiety this reduces throughout the entire day! The couple was radiating all day because there wasn’t an ounce of stress on them. When you have only your closest, most important people around, how can stress even factor into the equation? I’ll tell ya how, it just doesn’t. Gosh is that beautiful.
The day went smoothly. The bride got ready in a hotel a few blocks away from the restaurant. Then, after the first look which happened in the ceremony area before anyone had arrived, we went and did bridal photos a block away from the Michael’s on Naples restaurant in an alley that worked perfectly! After that,
Aside from the bride and groom, their little girl took over the day. She’s the sweetest most beautiful little kid!! Her parents are head over heels over her and you can see it through these photos. Also, the connection this baby had with her father is heart-wrenchingly beautiful. Try not to cry while scrolling.
I want to come back to Michael’s on Naples, bring me with you when you get married here, yeah? Okay, I think I’m done talking. Enjoy the photos of the day, and my take on how the day felt!! Fill your hearts up with love and laughter from these beautiful humans and the people that surrounded them.
Second Shot this beautiful elopement/intimate wedding with Melissa Rey Photo in Long Beach, California!

Well wasn’t that a beautiful doozy? Are you ready for me to photograph your intimate wedding? I sure as heck am!!
