Let’s go out into nature. You up for an adventure bridal… in your wedding clothes?! It doesn’t have to be crazy, there’s no need to be on top of a mountain or a foot away from a cliff if you don’t want to be. We also don’t have to drive half a day to get there. For this adventure bridal we drove an 1hr 30min to get to our destination; LA traffic included. Adventure does not have to mean a 20 mile hike, let’s just be honest, I will personally drive up to you instead, or if that’s not possible, I will tell you that, well, I just can’t do those 20 miles. My point is! Going to nature and having an adventure doesn’t have to be complicated.
Adventure Bridal means Dancing in Dirty Dresses
Anyway, back to this session. Brenda reached out to me a few months before her wedding day, she said her venue only allowed her to choose their photographer (very dumb by the way, I’ll just tell ya how I really feel about that now), but she wanted me to photograph them still. I told her I offer Adventure Bridals. I explained, it is a photoshoot before, or after, a wedding in the bride and groom’s wedding attire. She loved the idea and booked for a week after her wedding day. This way, she could enjoy the session without caring for her dress getting dirty (THIS MADE ME SO HAPPY)!!!
I jump and down (quite literally, okay maybe not literally) when a bride tells me she doesn’t care about getting her dress dirty. (Later, I found out, by someone else, that this type of session is also referred to as “Trash the Dress,” uhm yes, name it what you want! If you don’t care about getting dirt, water, mud, and whatever else on your dress, please let me be there to photograph the magic that is bound to unfold!
Location: Thomas F. Riley Wilderness Park
Anyway! Keeping to the point is really hard. I suggested we go to Thomas F. Riley Wilderness park because Brenda wanted a “forest looking” location near Los Angeles. It was a place I knew fit what she had in mind. I also knew she hadn’t been here, so that always adds charm to the shoot. We explored nooks and hidden areas, we “hiked” up a few hills, got our feet dirty, played in the sun and danced under the moon. It could not have been more perfect.
Also, Edward needs a special shout out because he wouldn’t quit cracking jokes the entire time (he’s actually really funny) and he made the session a complete walk in the park, pun intended (hahaha). I love these two so much!
So, this Adventure Bridal was done at Thomas F. Riley Wilderness Park because this beautiful couple wanted a forest type of feel. I did another Adventure Bridal that was also tons of fun, at the beach! I’m telling ya, these things don’t need to be complicated! What makes YOUR heart beat? That’s as far as you need to go. Click here to check the journal about that session, too!
Adventure Bridal heaven, basically. Am I right?? You wanna book one like this, well what you waiting for?! Let’s do it!!
